Yoga and branches of science would have an important place in the Magic Academy’s popular Summer Vacation Magic Camp for children. Admission for this two-month-long annual training during April-May has begun at the Academy.

The course provides learning of magical art with fun and frolic. It is also a serious and scientific learning that would turn the participants into able magicians. Tips to enhance memory power, ways to acquire problem solving skills and techniques to earn an appealing personality are also taught. Intriguing aspects of Mathematics, science and what not – even computer magic and optical illusions - are also brought to the classrooms.

Magic sessions, beginning with a Yoga practicing will be held during 9.30am to 1pm whereas general knowledge and personality development sessions will be conducted in the afternoons till 5pm.

Dhayanithi to share modern conjuring

Champion's session for 61st PPC at Magic Academy on 10th Jan.


Thiruvananthapuram: Monthly Perfect Performer Course at the Magic Academy steps on to the 6th year in style. On 10th Jan., adding grandeur to the occasion would be a teaching class by Vismayam 2008 Grand Champion of Magic, Dhayanithi.

This young conjurer from Tamil Nadu, whose dream is to become the World’s No. 1 magician, will be sharing the latest tricks from the modern conjuring.

Mr. Dhayanithi, even as he flourishes with performances, has been an ardent learner of the art. He has once told VMN that practicing on new magic numbers had made several nights sleepless for him. During Vismayam 2008, his success was chiefly because of the consistency of performance at various rounds of competitions. He performed with exemplary energy and elegance during the final rounds to get an upper hand over his close contestants.

The grace of this promising young magician will be lighting up the upcoming PPC session. Rays of knowledge emanating from his resourceful brain would add radiance of magical knowledge. Dhayanithi’s magic show will be held at 6pm under the auspices of the MAAAT, the alumni association.

Teaching the ways of freedom on the stage

Magic Academy organises Independence Day special class by magician S. Sreekanth on 9th August.



Want freedom from menacing mistakes that lock your creativity during your magic shows? This Independence Day special edition of the PPC will liberate participating magicians to a world free of all mistakes.

Teacher for the occasion, former Secretary to the India Ring 261 of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, S. Sreekanth has fixed a very appropriate theme for his class: ‘freedom from mishaps on magic stage’. Mr. Sreekanth is ambitious of unlocking the chambers of creativity thereby empowering his counterparts against common faults that occur during stage presentations.

Monsoon Magic Camp for kids

Cloudy skies, gloomy days and naughty rains… still, monsoon is a festival in Kerala. It's exactly the season when the nature shows its prowess to cast a charming spell – of wilderness and might; compassion and consolation – after a sweltering summer.
Now kids in Kerala have another reason to enjoy the rain battered monsoon days. Magic Academy has set the stage ready at its Wonder World auditorium for a one-day Monsoon Magic Camp (MMC) for kids on 14th of July.

Besides lunch and refreshments, the participants will get one year membership in the Magic Club and a packet containing magic equipments and books.

The camp will start at 10a.m. with their darling Magic Uncle, Gopinath Muthukad taking a class on 'Basics of Magic'. Other magic teachers including Rajamoorthy and Chandrasenan Mithirmala will lead kids to some more engrossing arenas of the awesome art. The camp concludes at 6p.m. with a magic show by Leons George, a school teacher turned magician.

Children who haven't yet attended a Magic Camp can register for the full day session by submitting their bio data along with a fee of Rs.200. Magic Club members should pay only Rs.150. Little wizards who are already active on the magic stage, should in turn pay just Rs.200 for attending a Magician's Perfect Performer Course in the forenoon and MMC in the afternoon.
