Mohanlal’s ‘Burning Illusion’ to herald power of determination

Curtain raiser to Vismayam 2008

Thiruvananthapuram: His burning passion since childhood for learning magic, is soon to be materialised into a ‘Burning Illusion’, the daredevilry. Thus actor Mohanlal takes a shift from his acting magic to a magical act, literally. The superstar’s metamorphism into a magician, is not result of a night. It is more than an year and a half since he began devotedly taking magical lessons from master illusionist Gopinath Muthukad. After learning the basic lessons , Mr. Lal is now stepping on to one of its higher levels - defying the fire.

'Burning Illusion', is to be staged in the evening on 27th April at the open air venue of Chandrasekharan Nair stadium, under the auspices of Kerala State Youth Welfare Board (KSYWB).

The KSYWB is prompted by three reasons for holding this Mohanlal act. First, the tremendous success of a national integration magical voyage conducted last year with the help of Mr. Muthukad. Influence of magic as an art and for sure, the extensive recognition Mr. Lal as a superstar enjoys among the youth.

At a function chaired by the Minister, M. Vijayakumar, Speaker, K. Radhakrishnan will be inaugurating the star-studded event. Minister of Home, Kodiyeri Balakrishnan will make Keynote Address. Mr. Lal’s feat will thus become a thrilling precursor to the global festival of magic, Vismayam 2008.

Why some magicians turned against the Mohanlal's Burning Illusion?. The Illusion is dangerous ofcourse. But If Mohanlal has courage and burning desire to perform the Illusion let him do it.
