Guruvayur: Unlike the magic festivals held in Palakkad and Malappuram, the one organized by the Magic Academy at the temple town of Guruvayur, was noted for the message it upheld. Each day of the five-day festival was inclusive of a brief function prior to the magic programmes, to make the audience aware about the terrorism that tries to build an ugly nexus in the State. Dignitaries from the spheres of art, culture and politics participated in the daily function. During their speech, everyone gave notes of caution to the viewers against the camouflage the terrorists usually resort to.

Major Ravi casts a spell
Most impressive was the speech by the military officer turned cine director, Major Ravi. A recipient of several awards and recognitions, Mr. Ravi’s words had the authority gained through a long service in the army. “Till now, I thought such a passionate effort for the nation could be made only by the military wings, but now I understand that artistes like Mr. Muthukad are also equally capable”, he said while inaugurating one of the evening meetings. Terrorism never germinated from the Indian soil; instead it was being planted every time from an external soil, he added. Former M.L.A. and cine director, P.T. Kunju Mohammed inaugurated another day’s meeting.

Patriotic magic show
The entertainment magical extravaganza titled, Muthukad’s World of Magic, too had a composition sufficient to foster national sentiments. “Let us have a thought for the Nation in our each and every action” was the message sent by the show. The 120 minutes’ show began with an illusion to message on the unity in diversity of the country and concluded with an item that showcased defeat of terrorists in front of patriotically resolved Indian youngsters.

The festival was inaugurated by the M.L.A., K.V. Adbul Khader at a function presided over by the Municipal Chairman, M. Krishnadas. Chairman of the Welcome Committee, P.V. Mohammed Yasin welcomed the dignitaries and Convenor, Ravi Chankath offered vote of thanks.

Magic Academy to fight against terrorism

Magic to keep away the evils from campuses in Kerala.

Wings of peace: Minister of Forest, Binoy Viswam inaugurates Gopinath Muthukad’s magical mission against terrorism, by joining for a magical item of producing pegions of peace from nowhere.

Kannur: Magic Academy’s initiative of performing magic shows for inspiring college students against the ugly demons of terrorism, was inaugurated by the Minister of Forests, Binoy Viswam.

The function held on 22nd November at the premises of historic Brunnen College at Thalassery, was resplendent of the huge anguish the people of Kerala have against terrorism. A piece of paper written ‘terrorism’ was placed inside an empty vessel and burnt into ashes. When the Minister closed the vessel with a lid and opened, appeared was a pigeon, the winged symbol of lasting peace. The function was followed by debut performances at the Brunnen College and the Engineering College, under the auspices of the Kannur University Union. Besides student leaders, Superintendent of Police, Sreejith was also present.

The Academy has selected to perform this unique magic shows before college students, since the primary target of terror recruiters are found to be the youngsters.

“Extremism never achieves a solution”, “Terrorism is not heroism, but cowardice” “Extremists have a faithless mind that is loveless, too”, “Terrorists cannot protect, but destroy only”, goes on the messages propagated through the magic shows.

Magic wand against terrorism

Poisonous drops of terrorism have started percolating into the social setups of apparently peaceful States like Kerala, too. Such evil instincts should be rooted out from the beginning stage. This is an occasion when we should not remain as mute spectators.

Terrorism cannot be interpreted as or attributed to a principle of any value. Acts of extremists lack the strength of logic.

Evils exist disguised as goodness. Extremists too sustain with their ugly faces masked with certain false causes and claims. Prima facie their demands would lure. But on close analysis voidity of their claims surfaces.
Terrorists claim they are the bravest, but act only in the dark and attack from the back. It is a futile way of life that can be adopted only by perverted minds and cowardice.

How do seeds of terrorism germinate? Terrorism never sprouts from within one’s own soil unless there is an outside force to pull the strings. In reality, these extra-societal forces pamper the youngsters and brainwash them to become characters of a pre-planned puppetry – in most cases, another form of cold war between nations. Let us fight against such instigators of evil, who inject poison into the young bloods.
Youth is a target of all. Politics, business, trade, art and culture need the very essential young bloods. Propagators of terrorism, too need them. Let us take a strong resolve not to keep our youngsters prone to a disaster. Let us wave our mighty magic wands to flush out extremism from our great secular, democratic land.
