Muthukad honoured in Oman

Muscat: Magician Gopinath Muthukad was presented with a ‘khanjar’ by Muscat governor Sayyid Saud bin Hilal bin Hamad al Busaidi at the Sultan Qaboos University in Oman.
The magician was visiting the place with an anti-drug awareness programme. Many personalities including Savyid Taimur bin Faisal Al Sayid, Dr. Madiha Ahammed Al Shayibani (Executive Minister), Sheikh Mohammed Sayid Al Kelbhani(Social Development Minister), Sheikh Khalid al Mavahi (Health Minister), J. S. Mukal (Indian Ambassador) watched the programme and honoured the magic team.
The programme was a joint venture of the anti-drug organisation of Muscat, Al Hayat Association and Indian Social Club. Although we have been conducting lectures on the topic of addiction for some time now, we want to try methods which we are a little less conversational. Our message is still the same but it is delivered in the way of magic and that will make it more effective and entertaining” said by Dr. Amira al Raidan, Vice-Chairperson of Al Hayat Association.
In this programme, Muthukad tells the story of Mubarek Salem, a young engineering student. He is from a good family and later he gets addicted to the evil of smoking, alcohol and drug. The show was presented at various venues in Oman, including Sur, Sohar, Liwa and Ruwi.
