Magic Academy to honour Kerala magicians

New Year gift for the State's magicians.

Magic Academy: Many services under one roof.

Thiruvananthapuram: Magic Academy has announced its New Year schemes to encourage magicians of the State. As part of this, the Academy will institute an award for honouring a magician who has contributed for the gross development and wider popularity of the magical art. The award would comprise of a cash prize of Rs.10000 plus a certificate of honour. Award for year 2008 would be given on the basis of the performance till December 2008.

To encourage magicians’ children who top at the S.S.L.C. or equivalent examinations, an educational scholarship of Rs.2500 per year will be granted during two years of their higher studies. As a gesture of support to financially backward magicians, magic equipments worth Rs.5000 would be given free of cost.

The Academy has also decided to organize a national festival of traditional street magic in Kerala, just to support street magic tribes of north India. The educational scholarship is really something to be appreciated and hats off to the entire team in Magic Academy for offering financial support to students.
