Magic Festival moves to Malappuram

A scene from the ‘Muthukad’s World of Illusions’

Manjeri, Malappuram: Magic Festival, organized by the Magic Academy for raising funds for building an asylum for traditional north Indian street magicians, has set its stage ready for a five-day celebration at Manjeri. The event will be held from 1st to 5th of Oct. at the Manjeri Town Hall. In resemblance to the one held triumphantly in Palakkad, Manjeri Magic Festival will also have daytime and evening shows.

Here also the principal attraction would be the latest edition of Gopinath Muthukad’s illusion show. Titled, ‘Muthukad’s World of Illusions’, the show will contain everything to the trends and tunes of current entertainment sphere. A sophisticated set gives the viewing pleasure whereas a deft applications of lights creates a world of colours. Sharp sound system with much-balanced audibility will also be established to give a thoroughly new experience of enjoyment.

Malappuram is Mr. Muthukad’s home district and a performance here, he considers, would be a hearty gift for his birthplace.
