Vismayam 2008 logo released

Kerala to host a global summit of magic, around 700 Indian and a dozen of foreign delegates to take part.

Thiruvananthapuram: The logo for Vismayam 2008, the imminent international magic convention slated to be held during 1st to 4th of May, was formally released by the city Mayor, C. Jayanbabu. The release function was held at the Symphony hall of Mascot Hotel here on 21st Dec. An array of dignitaries including M.L.A., N. Sakthan; Chairman of Kerala Tourism Development Corporation, Cheriyan Philip; Managing Director, K.G. Mohanlal, Soorya Krishnamoorhty and M.B. Sanilkumar were present.

Magic Academy Executive Director, Gopinath Muthukad and Directors, Chandrasenan Mithirmala and Rajamoorthy and organizing committee members witnessed the solemn function.

During his speech before the release, the Mayor assured all possible support from the part of the City Corporation and expressed his hope that the four-day magic festival would further the City’s cultural sheen. “I have been appreciative of Mr. Muthukad’s endeavours for the society. Now through Vismayam 2008, his Magic Academy is proving its unblemished loyalty also for the good being of the magic fraternity in and out of the country”, the Mayor said.
