Logo of growing hopes
Thiruvananthapuram: It’s a logo of many hopes - an icon resplendent of dreams and desires - of over 650 magicians assembling for a historic conclave.
The Vismayam 2008 logo is a meaningful mascot of eventful four days devoted to magic and magicians. Created by artiste Narayana Bhattathiri, the logo has to parts: alphabetic part reading ‘Vismayam’ and numeric suffix, ‘2008’.
The new logo being multicolour in its original form, has the year 2008 clung to it resembling a set of mutually hooked Chinese linking rings.
At the Symphony hall of Mascot Hotel, it was a totally different roll for Mayor, C. Jayanbabu.
Taking the magic wand gifted to him by Gopinath Muthukad, the Mayor approached a display board having a black empty surface. Just like an expert conjurer, he swayed the wand around the board and then touched it. Suddenly, amid sparks and curling fumes, a bright multicoloured logo of the ensuing magic festival was found magically glittering on the black board.
