Memories that jump across the Great Wall

Mumbai: Mumbai’s magic sisters, Pearl Bhumgara and Zenia Bhumgara are in full thrill. Along with their mother Kaizad and father, Mhelly Bhumgara, these magic girls are just back from FISM the magicians’ Olympiad held in Beijing. If watching world famous magicians was thrilling, more exciting were surprise meeting they had with a few Indian magicians in the land of China.

“We could meet magical friends, Dayanithi, Vasant, B.K. Mishra and Sumit Chioa”, Pearl tells with zest. “There were 2500 magicians from all over the world”, adds Zenia the younger with a striking childish smile. There was even a magic shop run by magician Milind and his wife among the stalls run by world famous dealers.
At 4.30pm on 26th of July, when curtains raised for the inaugural thump, everyone anticipated an acrobatic display by the orgnisers, China Acrobats Association. But proving all such notions wrong, came an exciting magic show by Chinese girls, Huang Zhen, Wshen Juan, Zhao Yuying and Xu Fengmei.

On the 31st July, when curtains came down for the magical Olympiad, Pearl and Zenia were a bit disappointed. Then found solace in the fact that the FISM will come with more magical surprises in 2012 in Blackpool, England.

Prove your magic mettle, Seol calls you...

Ready to prove your magical talent anytime? If you are, then the city of Seol beckons you. For those who are willing to participate in the competitions to be held on 30th October, as part of the FISM Asian championships, the doors are open, informs Eun-Sun Chung, the President of The Korean Magic Society.

The venue will be COEX convention centre, Seol. Only thing aspirants have to do is to contact the organizers by noon on 30th. Ms. Chung also says that the competitions will be held in two categories, namely stage and close-up.

The first and second prize winners of each category would be granted with an automatic access to next year’s FISM World Championships to be hosted in the Beijing. So get ready, pack and fly to Seol, and try to fetch the best in magic. When it happens in one of the World's largest cities, it becomes so special. Guidance to cross the great wall of surprises

Vadodara: Doesn’t your heart murmur about the next FISM? Are you not ambitious of flying to China to be part of this magical Olympiad? If you have the dream, here comes an Indian hand that can help realise them. Group of magician K. Baba has been authorized by the China Acrobats Association as the Group Organiser for India to guide Indian magicians to join the world championship.

In a communiqué received recently, it was also mentioned that Mr. Baba has recently visited Beijing to see the preparations, venue and the hotel facilities that were being arranged to accommodate international magicians.
