Preeth’s magic holds Indian flag high in Helsinki


Helsinki, Finland: Magician Preeth brought laurels to India by securing third prize in Comedy Magic at the 14th World Deaf Magicians’ Festival held here from 22nd to 29th April.   The World Deaf Magicians’ Festival is organized biennially by the Society of World Magicians since 1986.  Fifty deaf magicians from 15 countries including USA, England, Germany, Russia, Italy and India participated in the festival.

30-year-old Preeth’s selection to the festival was owing to the first prize he bagged in comedy, stage and micro categories of magic at the first All India Magic Competition of the Deaf organized in Bangalre on 5-6 February by Delhi-based All India Deaf Arts & Cultural Society.  During the event, he was also adjudged Best Magician.
Alumni of the Magic Academy, Preeth frequently takes the mantle of a magic teacher at the Academy. Currently he is working as User Interface Designer in a company in Technopark. His wife Bhavya, father Dr. K.N.Pavithran, mother Prabha and sister, Parvathy are very much delighted at his glittering achievement.
