"Shadow to Real"- Nine year old Srivatsa Hemmady create a new magic record

A nine-year-old boy from Bellary appears to have mastered the skill in shadow magic. In his maiden show, Srivatsa Hemmady keeps a bottle containing soft drink on a table and starts sucking it through a straw from its shadow that falls on a screen. He presented the show before a selected audience, including the media. The performance is somewhat resembling the nizhalkkuthu of ancient time.

Hemmady lit a lamp from its shadow by using a wick. He breaks a bulb that is held by a member of the audience by hitting on the shadow. A person, who was made to sit on a chair, felt mild shocks when Hemmady touched the shadow of the chair with electrical wires. A balloon was burst by pricking its shadow with a needle. A flower kept on a table was bent by disturbing the shadow.

He has given performances in the realty shows on popular regional and national television channels, including “Entertainment ke liye kuch bhi karega” and “Star of Karnataka”.
