Thiruvananthapuram: Children of age group 10-15 can register for a MatheMagic Mela organised by the Magic Academy at its Wonder World auditorium here on 19th January. The Mela is held as part of the monthly Preliminary Magic Course for children, with the objective of making magic a medium for removing apathy common among children towards mathematics.
Renowned mathematician, Palliyara Sreedharan will be teaching engrossing magic tricks that can be performed with the play of numbers and use of mathematical formulae. Mr. Sreedharan, noted for his radical endeavours in popularizing mathematics, has authored a number of books on simplifying mathematics. His efforts have won him several awards including the Kerala State Government award for outstanding contributions to children’s literature.
